quick steps
The minimum required to create a new inventory item is part number and description. IF the item is to be purchased then Supply details and stock levels are needed. If the item is to be sold then selling price information is required.
- Create a new record
- Enter in part number, description and units
of measure
- Select status
- Add selling details and indicate whether
price overrides and back orders are permitted
- Choose classification and category settings from search windows
- Change tax information
as needed
- Setup re-stocking options where multi warehouses
are applicable
- Setup price quantity breaks and/or customer
pricing information
- Select supplier and warehouse details,
ensuring a default is set
- Enter minimum stock on hand
levels for automatic re-ordering purposes
- Save the record
